Matt Bellis

Mr. Bellis has a BSEE and BA in Physics from Northwestern University; he has a MSEE from the University of California at Santa Barbara where his studies were focused on semiconductor lasers and optics. Mr. Bellis has extensive experience managing in large corporate environments as well as in early stage start-ups. He has developed and executed product line and division strategies and is experienced in securing funds both within a corporate environment as well as from the venture capital and investment community. Mr. Bellis has held positions in corporate strategy, marketing, sales and engineering as a manager and as an individual contributor. He has worked with most of the major consumer electronics manufacturers and numerous semiconductor fabs in implementing new technologies, new processes and new measurement systems. He has worked and lived extensively in Asia, managed multi-lingual and cross-cultural teams, and is competent in both spoken and written Japanese.

Dr. Daniel Lau

Dr. Daniel Lau is the Chief Technology Officer at Seikowave. Dr. Lau received his B.Sc. degree (with highest distinction) in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, in 1995 and his Ph.D. from the University of Delaware, Newark, in 1999. Today, he is an Associate Professor at the University of Kentucky, Lexington. Prior, he was a DSP Engineer at Aware, Inc., and an Image and Signal Processing Engineer at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. His research interests include 3-D imaging sensors, 3-D fingerprint identification, and multispectral color acquisition and display. His published works in half-toning include the introduction of the green-noise half-toning model as well as stochastic moire.

Minoru Niimura

Minoru Niimura is Executive Vice President at Seikowave and responsible to hardware development and East Asia market development. Mr. Niimura has been leading the effort to commercialize structured light measurement systems. Mr. Niimura was a 25-year veteran of Epson. He was a development leader at Epson for personal computers, semiconductor IC's and projectors. In addition to his work at Epson, Mr. Niimura directed the marketing activity in Japan for Miradia, a US-based MEMS start-up acquired by Walsin Lihwa. Mr. Niimura has a bachelor of Electronics Engineering from Tohoku University, Japan, 1982.
